Whilst most of our website is available to use without the need for you to submit personal data, there are areas where it will become necessary. If you choose to provide your personal data then this privacy policy sets out the way in which any personal data you provide to us is used and kept secure by us. It applies whenever we collect your personal data (including when you use our website or other digital platforms), so please read it carefully.

What data we need

The personal data we collect from you includes:

  • Questions, queries or feedback you leave, including your name, county, contact number and email address if you contact us using the ‘contact us’ page on our website www.autoservefleet.co.uk

We also use Google Analytics software to collect information about how you use www.autoservefleet.co.uk. We do this to help make sure the site is meeting the needs of its users and to help us make improvements.

Google Analytics stores information about:

  • What you click on while you’re visiting the site.

From a simple visit to our website, we do not collect or store your personal information (for example your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are.

If while visiting our website you complete our ‘contact us’ form we will ask for your name, your county, contact number and email address. This is to ensure that we can contact you to respond to your question/feedback. As our sales employees work by area we ask for your county so we can pass your request onto the relevant employee of Autoserve Ltd.

What we do with your data

We do not share the information we collect from you if you are simply visiting our website or complete our ‘contact us’ form.

If you have a maintenance contract, fleet card or service card agreement with Autoserve Ltd the data we collect may be shared with our selected partners, but only with your permission. This will include our accident management partner, if you are involved in an accident along with our breakdown partner, the AA, if your vehicle is broken down and you required assistance or if you take your vehicle into any Kwikfit or National Tyre centre for replacement tyres/puncture repair we will confirm with the centre that you are or are not a customer of Autoserve Ltd. In most of these situations we will use your vehicle registration to confirm whether you are or are not a customer of Autoserve Ltd, this is for authorisation purposes.

We will share your details with vehicle garages if you contact us to book your vehicle in, for example this may include booking the vehicle in for a service, repair, warranty work or MOT. The information we will share will include your name, vehicle registration and that you are a customer of Autoserve’s. We do share your contact details with our garage network and Direct Debit service provider.

We will not:

  • Sell or rent your data to third parties.
  • Share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We will share your data if we are required to do so by law – for example, by court order, or to prevent fraud or other crime.

Monitoring

We may monitor or record any telephone calls for both security and employee training purposes.

How long we keep your data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as:

  • It is needed for the purposes set out in this document.
  • The law requires us to.

In general, this means that we will only hold your personal data for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 7 years.

Children’s privacy protection

Our services are not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children 18 years of age or younger. We do not intentionally collect or maintain data about anyone under the age of 18.

Where your data is processed, stored and how we keep it secure

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers in the United Kingdom

We will take all steps, which are reasonably necessary, to ensure that your data is treated securely, including taking the following safeguards:
